The advertising “obi” sleeve on the freshly released 20th volume of Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist manga confirms plans for a second anime TV series. Early last month BONES animation studio president Masahiko Minami stated publicly that BONES was interested in developing more Full Metal Alchemist anime, but, at that time, had made no concrete plans.

Slayers Revolution gets a second season
Monthly Dragon Age Magazine reportedly confirms that the current Slayers Revolution anime television series will be continued in a second series that will air later this year. The new, presently untitled series, will be the fifth Slayers TV series since the series’ 1995 debut in anime form.

Denpa Teki na Kanojo Anime Announced
The current issue of Jump Square magazine reportedly includes an announcement that author Kentaro Katayama’s light novel series Denpa Teki na Kanojo will be adapted into an anime series. Katayama is also the author of the Kurenai novel series, which was adapted into an anime television series earlier this year. Denpa Teki na Kanojo is set within the same continuity as the Kurenai novels and includes appearances from Kurenai characters.

Third Minami-ke Series Announced
The official Starchild Records homepage for the Minami-ke (http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/minami-ke/) anime series has formally announced development of a third Minami-ke anime series.

Next Noitamina Series Announced
The Fuji TV network has revealed (http://mainichi.jp/enta/mantan/news/20080829mog00m200004000c.html) that Waki Yamato’s historical shoujo manga “Asakiyumemishi” will be developed into an 11 episode anime TV series. The Asakiyumemishi ~ The Tale of Genji (http://asakiyumemishi-anime.com/) anime will debut in January 2009 and air as Fuji TV’s 14th “Noitamina” series, following the conclusion of the Nodame Cantabile: Paris anime series.

Hatsukoi Limited Anime Announced
The Moon Phase Diary reports (http://d.hatena.ne.jp/moonphase/20080828) that Kawashita Mizuki’s high school romantic comedy manga series Hatsukoi Gentei will be adapted into a drama CD and anime.

Gonzo to Animate Dungeon & Fighter
The NHN Japan (http://www.nhncorp.jp/main/index.html) online game provider company has announced that Gonzo will develop an anime television series adaptation of the Korean side-scrolling action RPG “Dungeon & Fighter.” The anime series, to be titled “Slap Up Party -Arad Senki- (http://www.sup-arad.jp/),” will debut next year.

Marvel Super Heroes become anime on 2010
Marvel Comics has formally announced (http://www.marvel.com/company/index.htm?sub=viewstory_current.php&id=1289) a partnership with Tokyo based anime production studio Madhouse to develop four 12 episode anime television series featuring Marvel super hero characters. The first series, which will feature Iron Man and Wolverine, among other characters, will premier on the Animax network in early 2010.

Votoms Movie Announced
The official staff blog for the Armored Trooper Votoms: Pailsen Files (http://www.votoms.net/pailsen/) OVA series has confirmed plans (http://votoms.cocolog-nifty.com/web/2008/08/post_5229.html) for a Votoms movie. The blog post does not clarify if the movie will be a condensed version of the Pailsen Files OVA series or new aniamtion.

Taisho Yakyuu Musume Anime Announced
Japanese publisher Tokuma Shoten has formally announced (http://www.tokuma.co.jp/edge/05news.html#_080818a) that author Kagurazaka Atsushi & illustrator Koike Sadaji’s light novel series Taisho Yakyuu Musume (Taisho Era Baseball Daughter) will be adapted into anime. Hmm... well, the Fullmetal Alchemist manga is still going, so far, it seem that the new series are a remake and not a new series.

If the manga ends in the upcoming months, it could mean that the new FMA might end along with it. But so far the animation promos are not something you'd say... :wow:
