Top 100 anime character survey 2008

A survey done by AnimeSource. It's quite an interesting chart.

Lelouch takes the first spot with an overwhelming victory. No surprised there. The same goes for Haruhi. I was surprised to see Onizuka in the third spot considering it's a bit old.
Although there are a number of other characters I can argue about their rankings, but that would be based my personal opinion.
So what do you guys think of it?

WOW!! i actually really like and agree with the poll for the most part. They at lest got the first one Right. Lelouch is obviously the best character ever. and they have so many kool character i love like the top 11 i agree with completely they even got shinobu at 97 which is kool.

some more favs like Black star, shana, Rena, naruto, toshiro, BALSA(wow just saw here), Vash!! yes, Lockon stratos, wow Itachi too, zetsubou sensei, Ichigo, L, WOW WTF Suzaku too, ok(he did become more likable as the series progressed, i know at the begining everyone hated him and wanted him dead. . ASAP) Kallen wow so many Code geas characters C.C. too and shes at 11. A... Allen walker , yes he one of my favorites too. i surprised nagi is 89 but they have sasuke and revy there too. AND SABER(loves saber)wow shikamaru too,
there are 3 of my favorite characters i dont see up there. Kakashi(from naruto, my fav. naruto character) Maebara keiichi from Higurashi and Kazuma from s-cry-ed. So many kool characters :) Haruko!!Yoko!!!
i dont see any Kanon character either. too like MAKOTO :(

just one a side note, the number 1 lelouch, i see they have points on how much they won by (or votes) but Lulu basically crushed everyone else, he beat out number 2 Haruhi by 3 times hers point WOW!! goes to show, ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!
AND i got a new guess anime character up too, everyone go try. :)

Many CLANNAD characters... now i must watch it :D

I'm glad I know most of these characters, it's really cool to see how they all rank up. I was pretty surprised by Harima being so high up in the rankings, I didn't know School Rumble characters were that popular. Also, Clannad is an awesome anime, it's definitely worth watching, 4me.

Clare and Teresa beat Lina Inverse.... Didn't know Claymore gained such popularity... But you have to admit, it is awsome, especially the manga, although it is horror fantasy... But where is White Serpent Naga?? :???:

Oh, and Great Teacher what his name is number 3??? HAXXXX!! >.>

Btw, is it bad if you know most if not all characters up there??

I'm glad to see some of my favorite characters on there even though I don't recognize some of the others. If I was making the list I would have put some characters higher and some lower. There were also some surprises. I knew Onizuka and Konata were popular, I just didn't realize they were THAT popular! And L is more popular than Light? That's a bit of a shock to me. And what happened to the characters from Love Hina and Azumanga Daioh? I know the poll is a little biased towards newer shows but those series are classics!

My favorite is probably either Itoshiki Nozomu or Yoko Ritona. It's such a hard choice!!!
