Barnum Studio has formally announced (http://blog.barnumstudio.com/?eid=1037565) its development of a an anime series titled “Hoshi ni Negai wo”, which literally means “Wish Upon a Star”, but also happens to be the Japanese title of the classic Disney theme “When You Wish Upon a Star”, from the film Pinocchio.

Japanese publisher Ohta Books has announced (http://www.ohtabooks.com/press/2008/11/19134930.html) that Natsume Ono’s light drama manga story Ristorante Paradiso will premier as a TV anime (http://www.rispara.tv/) this year. “RisPara,” as it’s abbreviated by Japanese fans, will be the second anime series broadcast in the Fuji TV.

Mochizuki’s supernatural action manga series Pandora Hearts will be adapted into an anime television series by studio Xebec. Pandora Hearts illustrates the story of 15 year old Oz Bezarius, a nobleman imprisoned during his coming-of-age ceremony for the crime of “existing”.
Valkyria Chronicles Anime Announced
Sega’s Valkyria Chronicles (Senjo no Valkyria -Gallian Chronicles-) PlayStation 3 tactical war simulation game will become an anime on spring 2009. The game deals with the efforts of soldiers in the fictional 1930s European nation of Gallia to repel an invasion from invading countries. The TV anime will be produced by A-1 Pictures.

15 Bishojo Hyoryuki multimedia franchise will be expanded with an anime OVA. Created by adult game creator Takahiro and character designer Kazuya Kuroda, 15 Bishojo Hyoryuki is a parody of Jules Verne’s novel Two Years’ Vacation, known in Japan as “15 Shonen Hyoryuki”. As the title implies, 15 Bishojo Hyoryuki is a story about 15 pretty girls stranded on a deserted island.
