An official Japanese website has launched to announce an August 25th release for the first episode of AIKa Zero (http://www.aika-zero.com/), the third OVA series in the AIKa franchise. Studio Fantasia and director Noriyasu Yamauchi and screenwriter Kenichi Kanemaki will continue their previous work on the AIKa series.


Yatterman Anime Movie in August
An official Japanese website has launched to announce an August 22 theatrical premiere for the Gekijouban Yatterman: Shin Yattermecha Osu gou! Omocha no Kuni de Dai Ketsudan da Koron (http://www.yattereiga.com/) anime feature film.


Letter Bee TV Anime Announced
Japanese Tegami Bachi (http://www.tegamibachi.com/), or Letter Bee, homepage has formally announced an October premiere for an anime television series adaptation of Hiroyuki Asada’s fantasy drama manga series. A short Letter Bee anime motion picture was released last year.


Fullmetal Alchemist OVA in August
Japanese home entertainment news site AV Watch reports (http://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20090428_167820.html) that the first Japanese DVD and Blu-ray volume of the second Fullmetal Alchemist television series will include a bonus original anime. The “Momoku no Renkinjutshi” OVA.


Sunred 2 in fall
Kubota Makoto, creator of the Tentai Senshi Sunred manga parody of Japanese “sentai” and “tokusatsu” live action superhero TV shows has confirmed the development of a second Sunred anime series with an image on his homepage (http://web.me.com/teiou/kubotajirusi/Welcome.html). The first 26 episode Sunred anime television series (http://www.sunred.jp/) aired last year.


Valkyrie Complex anime announced
Adult PC game developer CIRCUS has announced that its upcoming fantasy RPG Valkyrie Complex will get an anime adaptation.


New Gundam in winter
printings of Harutoshi Fukui’s series of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novels reveal that the series will debut as an anime this winter. Gundam Unicorn series is set in the year U.C. 0096, three years after the events depicted in the Char’s Counterattack motion picture, and 27 years before the events depicted in the F-91 motion picture. Sunrise animation studio plans a worldwide simultaneous release.


Ribbon no Kishi comes back as a movie
Reportedly Tezuka Productions is now developing new anime feature film adaptations of the late Osamu Tezuka’s 1953-56 Ribbon no Kishi and 1972-1983 Buddha manga series. The films are tentatively planned for release next year or later.


Zetsubou Sensei 4 is ready to air this summer
Weekly Shonen Magazine announced a July premiere for the Zan Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei anime television series, the third TV series and fourth overall anime adaptation of Koji Kumeta’s gag manga.


More Hetalia Axis Powers this fall
The official Japanese homepage for the Hetalia Axis Powers anime series has announced (http://hetalia.com/news/index2.htm) that the current 26 episode series will be followed this fall by a second 26 episode series. The adaptation of Hidekazu Himaruya’s gag manga was originally planned for internet & TV broadcast, but is now broadcast only online and via cel-phones. I recently found Najica Dengeki Sakusen (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=413) ... It's like pantsu-less Aika, but with even less pantsu. :P
