The official Macross Frontier homepage (http://www.macrossf.com/information/others.html#others133) announced a second, previously unexpected Macross F feature film. The first movie, Macross Frontier the Movie: The False Songstress, will open on November 21. The second film will be a new story, presumably consisting of entirely new animation.
Chu-Bra!! anime on development
Comic High! magazine announced (http://comichigh.jp/weblog/2009/06/post_35.html) that Yumi Nakata’s ecchi manga series Chu-Bra!! will get an anime adaptation. The series’ story revolves around Nayu Hayama, a middle school girl with an affection for sexy underwear who joins an “underwear” club at her school to tout the benefits of sexy undies to schoolgirls worried about how their undergarment choices will affect their body development.
Tonari no 801-chan manga gets anime short
The September 10 Japanese release of Ajiko Kojima’s romance manga Tonari no 801-chan will include a 90 second “Tonari no 801-chan R” anime short on DVD. The “opening anime” will be produced by A-1 Pictures.
