People usually listen to music when they're feeling kind of blue --- well at least I do.
What reason do you, fellow members, listen to your favorite song/s for? What are those particular songs? (・_・。)
I guess for now, I listen to a lot of Japanese songs that I can't even understand because I think I learn more when there's quantum learning. Yes, I do study with music playing from my laptop...

Oh... yeah, but I also listen to music to increase my heartbeat and work harder
From time to time it makes me rush new and better ideas... I love a particular song from Rush... oldie rock <3
Japanese... well I love most of it, I have more JPop & JRock bands in my HD than any other. Right now I'm in a KOTOKO mood! :kawaii:

An anime fan who dislikes Japanese songs shouldn't have the right to be called an anime fan. d(^^*)
I think I only listen to JPop when I'm really feeling okay.

My favorite song right now that's getting me though rough times is "More Adventurous" by Rilo Kiley
And it's only doubts that we're counting
On fingers broken long ago
I read with every broken heart we should become
More adventurous
And if you banish me from your profits
And if I get banished from the kingdom up above
I'd sacrifice money and heaven all for love
Let me be loved, let me be loved
And if my brain quits, well I guess then that's just it
And if my hands stop working you can call me lazy
And if I get pregnant, I guess I'll just have the baby
Let it be loved, let me be loved
I've been trying to nod my head, but it's like I've got a broken neck
Wanting to say I will as my last testament
For me to be saved and you to be brave
We don't have to walk down that aisle
'Cause if marriage ain't enough
Well at least we'll be loved
I felt the wind on my cheek coming down from the east
And thought about how we are all as numerous as leaves on trees
And maybe ours is the cause of all mankind
Give love to make more, try to stay alive
I've been trying to nod my head, but it's like I've got a broken neck
Wanting to say I will as my last testament
For you to be saved and me to be brave
We don't have to walk down that aisle
'Cause if marriage ain't enough
Well at least we'll be loved

( ゚▽゚)/ Well I think it's alright to cry with the person singing in the songs you listen to, Kajafuss. Almost all of the songs made nowadays are to complement the feelings of those who listen to them...

Well...if you call the hair at the back of your neck standing up as something similar, then yes~ (@⌒ー⌒@)
Honestly, I only cry whenever I hear/sing hymns. (^^)

Well... I don't recall any song that made me cry, instead, music usually cheers me up. :p

Maybe it is more an event or memory tied to the song that makes you cry...
You're right about that...but then I've never had any memory from a song that would make me cry. I'm more on smiling and laughing because of remembering something from a certain lyric/part of a song.

Music is music to me, and I listen to just about all the genres out there (although, not a fan of Japanese/Country/Rap, etc music).
As for what music for what mood, not really either. I just listen to whatever is on.
Though, I do tend to put on more complex songs (ie: dance/progressive-death-speed-melodic metal) for work-outs and classical music when I relax.
