Do you change celphones when its company releases a new model? Do you buy the latest version of the software you recently just bought? Why are there people who are fond of 'following the newest trend' anyway? Let us converge our opinions in this particular thread.

Well, some persons like to feel they are wearing ot using the latest, I think it's something in their minds. @.@
Personally, I had the same cell phone for the last 5 years, I just changed it 'cause I got a new one as a gift. :p

Aye, fickle-mindedness.
why people feel the need to buy the latest thing after just upgrading is just a habit or something of theirs, they cant help it for now....
And that is why I built this thread.

Oh poor things of yours! Don't you at least give them any value? ( ̄○ ̄)

well
If it works there isn't really any reason to buy something that can do the exact same thing

Well I'm glad none of you are like the people I find in this country...new model, new phone---good bye old (but still new) phone.

Well, several Asian countries are usually top of the edge in technology... I guess that's why they want to be the first to have the latest. :drop:

same here, my cell phone is nothing but a portable clock, i only call my parents using it, and thats only to tell them how i am or if i am in a emergency xD
Its a habit i can understand, mostly for people to show off that they have the latest stuff, but dont know how they can keep up, gotta be rich or something xD:P

I don't even own a cell phone. ^^d
I don't care about new versions of anything unless A) I have a problem with the current version, or B) the newer version offers some new feature(s) that I just can't pass up. :P

Hmm...
I might as well see myself as someone who doesn't have a cellular phone...
I mean, at first I planned to have one just so I can use her in case of emergencies, like if I had lost my spleen or got lost in the middle of walking home... but it didn't really work like that.
I usually forget my phone at home when and if I go out, and I usually do that. 'sides, I have the interweb to do my communication at home because it's just better.
Oddly enough, I keep my phone charged and loaded whenever, even though I don't use her that much...
Oh, and I almost forgot, whenever I do use my phone I usually spam-rape the target with text-messages...
I'm prolly subconsciously compensating for her lack of use...
Aside from usage which is I feel very of the topic, I don't take this phone thing like the majority of the people in the country I'm in. They make having latest models the way of distinguishing how much money you have.
Okay, so that maybe true up to some extent, but what of those who are up to their armpits in money and feel that they're content with their current model? Kinda like me, but a lot less of the former and more of the latter...
Then some misjudge you for your phone and call you poor for it which I think is really stupid.
Meh, it's too long.
