More Vampire Knight in October
The official Japanese homepage for the 13 episode Vampire Knight anime television series has announced that a second series will debut in October.


More sequels announced
Geneon Entertainment has formally announced the development of a second Ichigo Mashimaro OVA series.

The ToHeart 2 OVA series has issued a formal announcement of development of a sequel anime series titled “ToHeart 2ad Plus”.

The recently broadcast final episode of the fourth Major television series included an announcement of a January 2009 planned premier of a fifth Major television series.


ef -a tale of melodies- Announced
During its Rondo Robe 2008 publicity event, Geneon Entertainment formally announced development of “ef - a tale of melodies,” an anime television series sequel to the 2007 TV series “ef - a tale of memories”, based on the adult PC game from Minori. The upcoming series will, once again, be animated by Shaft.

The official Japanese homepage for the recently announced ef - a tale of melodies anime television series is now online. The site features a 50 second trailer available for download or online viewing.


Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka TV Anime Announced
Reportedly animation studio TNK will produce a TV anime adaptation of Feng’s 2007 adult PC game “Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka”.


Gunslinger Girl OVA Announced
The official Japanese homepage for the Gunslinger Girl anime series has announced that a new two episode Gunslinger Girl OVA series will be released following the September 25th Japanese release of the seventh and final DVD of the Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino- TV series. Both episodes will be apparently released on a single DVD.


Tower of Druaga will have a second season
The recently broadcast final episode of the Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk anime television series included an announcement that a sequel series titled “The Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk” will debut next year.


Skip Beat! Anime Series Announced
Japanese genre news site Hobby Channel has confirmed the planned production of an anime television series adaptation of Yoshiki Nakamura’s shoujo manga series Skip Beat! The anime will be produced by studio Hal Film Maker (Princess Tutu, Pretear, Oban Star Racers) under the direction of Kiyoko Sayama (Vampire Knight, Princess Tutu). More at: AN
