In 4 years time the competition that will decide who the next Queen shall be will start. The strongest warrior will continue to rule the country according to tradition and expand it. The contestants need only be older than 12 years. They need not be human, intelligent or even of that country. The rules for the tournament are simple: murder is allowed. Any weapon can be chosen. The winner is decided when one of the participants flees or can't move anymore. Such event is broadcasted trough a crystal sphere by the court's magic teacher to all population to see and enjoy.

When a job needs to get done you need the appropriate clothing on the appropriate persons. That calls for preferably scantily clad young ladies. Spies will dress in sexy outfits, even when the mission explicitly calls for them to not to be noticed. Female warriors will charge into battle wearing armor that does not protect the vital organs. Bridge officers on a military starship will be issued go-go boots with their uniforms. Examples are the women in VanDread, AIKa or the most famous incarnation of that tag, the Strike Witches and their precursor the Sky Girls.

Upcoming oppai anime Queen’s Blade is set to air soon, but one question on the minds of many was whether the title would suffer a DVD marketing drive leaving its erotic credentials in tatters.

Happily for fans, liberal broadcaster AT-X is now trumpeting the fact that it will be airing the “raw” version, which is the same as the DVD. That means it has uninterrupted views of Reina’s nipples.

However, the scant few other stations airing Queen’s Blade will almost certainly be opting for a heavily censored version.

It is also not clear whether AT-X will actually be able to keep up the nipple-laden broadcasts throughout the season, but it seems possible…

The DVDs themselves will evidently have something extra special. On top of this, there is also the OVA to anticipate.
