The story takes place after an abominable war that foisted a "devil's contract" upon a land. Cecily Campbell, a former noble's daughter who joined a knighthood, encounters a man who dispatches some hoodlums with one sweep of a mysterious sword.

The man possesses the power of the same "devil's contract" that became taboo once peace had been restored. Cecily has been searching for a blacksmith who can repair an old sword she inherited from her father, and that mysterious young man happens to be blacksmith named Luke Ainsworth. This encounter launches their adventures together.

The six light novel volumes of The Sacred Blacksmith have so far sold 570,000 copies. Masamitsu Hidaka (Linebarrels of Iron, Pokémon, Juu Senshi Garukiba) is directing the project at the manglobe anime studio (Ergo Proxy, Michiko to Hatchin, Samurai Champloo). Masashi Suzuki (Kanokon, Minami-ke: Okawari, Shuffle!) is overseeing the scripts, and Jun Nakai (Tokyo Majin) is adapting's Runa original character designs for anime.

The anime will premiere on Japanese television this fall, and the first promotional video is still streaming.

looks like a kawaii show, u probably shouldn't take it too seriously when it comes to twist in the plot
but more of a fun kinda show

It would appear (as it usually the case this day and age), the TV version of Seiken no Blacksmith (2009) is quite tamed and censored... With DVD version promising to be off the top ecchi with full nudity moments throughout the show.

From the trailer I saw, I didn't expect it to be a ecchi anime. I thought it's just action and fantasy. o.o

This day and age, if there is no nudity on DVD releases... it simply won't sell.

We should all try out best to convince 4mew to slowly start changing the website toward ecchiness, that will bring in money and more members.
