Yu-Gi-Oh! celebrates 10 years of action with a movie
A Yu-Gi-Oh! anime film commemorating the anime franchise’s 10th anniversary on January 2010. The Gekijouban Yu-Gi-Oh! ~Cho-Yugo! Jiku o Koeta Kizuna~ motion picture will be a 3D anime that pits Yuugi Mutou, Judai Yuki, and Yusei Fudo – the protagonists of the three Yu-Gi-Oh! anime television series – against the new, original antagonist Paradox.


Ladies Versus Butlers! anime ready for 2010
Dengeki Bunko books is ready to realease an anime adaptation of Tsukasa Kozuki’s romantic comedy light novel series Ladies Versus Butlers!. The story stars high school boy Akiharu Hino, who’s drafted into his new school’s training program for maids & butlers. The novel series premiered in 2006 and presently has nine volumes, a manga adaptation, and drama CDs.


Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaoh anime announced
Shotaro Mizuki & illustrator Soichi Ito’s romantic fantasy adventure light novel series Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaoh will be adapted into an. The 2008 and ongoing novel series revolves around teen boy Akuto Sai, an aspiring magic cleric whose aptitude test reveals his most likely future occupation to be “devil king.”


Okamikakushi anime on Winter Season
TBS announced that Konami’s new PSP visual novel game Okamikakushi – the title is a portmanteau of “okami” and “kamikakushi” – will be adapted into an anime TV series.


Hidamari Sketch x ☆☆☆
Hidamari Sketch x Hoshimittsu TV series was announced and is expected in 2010. It will be the third anime series for this school comedy.


Kaichou wa Maid-sama! anime next year
Monthly LaLa announced of a TV anime adaptation of Hiro Fujiwara’s shoujo manga Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (Student Council President is a Maid!). The romantic comedy stars Misaki Ayuzawa, a strict, boy-hating girl who acts as her school’s student council president in hopes of taming the predominantly male student body and allowing the female students to feel safe and comfortable.


Shukufuku no Campanella in development
Enterbrain! announced, in its description for the second volume of the Magicu 4 Koma Shukufuku no Campanella manga, that an anime is now in development. The Shukufuku no Campanella game is set in a medieval fantasy world where a young man sees a falling star, only to find that the “star” is a cute girl who calls him, “Papa.”


Arakawa Under the Bridge anime announced
An anime adaptation of Hikaru Nakamura’s romantic comedy manga Arakawa under the Bridge. The manga about a well-off young man who picks up an odd homeless girl falls into the “denpa-kei” genre of slice-of-life stories about people with odd ideosynchracies.


Working!! anime on production stage
An official website was launched to announce a TV anime adaptation of Karino Takatsu’s four panel comic strip Working!! A-1 Pictures will produce with Yoshimasa Hiraike directing and Shingo Adachi providing chara design and serving as animation director.


Sekirei will have a sequel
The official homepage for the Sekirei TV anime has formally announced development of a sequel series, Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~. The primary staff and cast from the 2008 first series will reunite for the second series. More at: AN
