WB Answer to HD War: A Bi-Compatible Disc

Acording to Playfuls.com Warner Bros has come up with its own solution to the HD disc war.

According to media reports, Warner Bros plans to unveil at the Consumer Electronics Show a DVD disc, called Total Hi-Def (Total HD) that would make it possible to play a movie in either a HD DVD player or Blue Ray player.

By using reflective films, the inventors say their disc would enable the lasers to read the top layer and "see through" to the lower one if necessary. Additional information also could be stored on the other side of the disc.

"Sometimes people don't see how much we need them, Until we don't need them anymore..."
=uu= "Never wear anything that panics the neko."

  2. if this format can be available for personal burning, there is almost no limit to what the end user can do. This is a hell of alot better than other solutions
