So I was thinking about getting external hdd to store my ever growing collection of anime...
I first looked at External HDDs, and was primary looking at the ones with big capacity. But then remembered about Ethernet External HDD.
Ethernet External HDD are External HDD that can be connected to via LAN instead of USB or Firewire. Good thing about this is that Ethernet External HDD doesn't need to be connected to any PC, and simple connect to your LAN switch or router.
I also want my solution to be fairly upgradable... and I am not talking about buying new unit every 2 years, but doing periodic small updates to it.
That's why I begun looking more at Ethernet External Enclosures that didn't came with any HDD, and where I could buy HDD myself.
Then I decided that why go through all this trouble, and instead try out for a Barebone system.

Anybody has any experience with Barebone systems?
Everything looks managetable.. One question through.. do I have to install the CPU? The shuttle models all have heatpipes for cooling...![]()
